coolohohMan, this is such a long review ne? This is the last spurt now! A mere 22mins more of video to go!
AND I thought it would end at part 6. Turns out that I screen capped too much for Aiba’s part and now it has to be split into two. Gosh!

A whole week passes by and I'd realise I didn’t use my lappy at all >< And I end up surfing LJ at work during my free time, where I unfortunately can't watch shows and do reviews... But I'm finally getting it finished now! Merely halfway through the show but still...

On a side note, I’d like to recommend Tokio’s Ultraman dash to you guys as well. Just watched it and it was very entertaining :P
coolohohTo be honest I didn’t want to review this episode of AnShi. I don’t like doing AnShi… it’s a talk bangumi and that means a ton more talking, difficult vocab, and a much harder time translating… BUT after watching the entire episode yesterday… I just can’t get over leader’s cute facial expression that I must share it with you guys. Its worth watching the episode just for it seriously. Even if you don’t understand a word of Japanese… (just skip the boring parts in between maybe). Okok, I’m biased towards leader but still…! You won’t regret watching this I assure you!
That said… I won’t be translating some parts in the middle… mostly the talk in the Ninomi house segment. (That segment makes up the bulk of the whole show anyway.) I didn’t understand quite some bit of the talk so… :P I ended up translating most of it anyway.
EDIT: Between my urge to re-read fics, doctor visits and a day surgery, this thing took me way longer to finish then expected. Gomen ne ><

The next question is what music he listens to before competition. N: Why did we ask this question. Why he did come on his program…
A: Indeed.
J: Let me think about it.

After Nino teases Aiba some bit, Nino reveals the next answer. Uchimura said of Shirai: He does too many twists that its disgusting! (in the complementary way)
Aiba asks if Uchimura can do the Shirai skill. SK: He can. We were at a training camp and playing together. We were doing twists together on the trampoline. The rest of them couldn’t catch up with us at all, and complained that “you guys are playing at a weird level!”.
He also talks about how there were a total of 6 passes in his routine. After he finished the 4th pass, he was confident that he could nail it already. Like the whole world was watching him with bated breath but he was the only one who was calm and confident.
And now we get to see his winning routine. (just search youtube for it if you’re interested XD )
Arashi asks him to give a running commentary of the routine.
S: This time you’re a bit nervous?
SK: Nope, i was laughing.
Its hard to take SSes of someone tumbling past at high speed… gomen ne? 1st pass. Two continuous twists… as much as I’m a gymnastics fan, I don’t know all the proper names for all the skills so… >< SK: If this wasn’t done properly (like ending in the correct position), the 2nd pass will fail.
And the 2nd pass… J: Over here did you feel good? SK: At that point in time there’s still no. 4 to worry about, so not yet.
After this is the 4th pass
SK said something about Uchimura Kohei having done a good performance, and wanting to put up a good performance too.
And the 4th pass that he was so worried about.
SK: At this point it was like ‘i made it!'
And the 5th pass. And this point he was no longer worried. Although he had a serious face, he felt that he had already nailed it.
At the 6th pass, he felt that it was just like during his practices.
N: REALLY?
S: Relaxed?
O: Calm and collected?
SK: Yes, i think Kohei-san was right over there though. (not too sure about what he said here)

After the 4th pass he felt that he his earlier performance was done properly, and he just needed to finish the rest enjoyably.
The quadruple twist at the end, he did it for the sake of the audience who came to watch him.

Aiba asks if we’ll get to see 4 and a half twists, or 5 twists in the future. SK: I don’t feel like doing it now, but if in the future a lot of people can do four twists already, maybe i’ll do it.
Shirai shows his hand stand in the studio. Nino comments on how its hard to do it so slowly.

They ask him about how the hands are turned in.
Nino gets forced to try.
hahahaha! Its like the age old joke… how many people does it take to do a handstand? All 5 member of arashi!
Shirai can only laugh as he looks down at the mess of body. J and O are forcefully pushing N’s legs under his hands, like how it was done earlier by Shirai.
And done!
Next up, why is Shirai Kenzo not nervous at all?
It was his first world championship, and what he believes is that Japan’s gymnastics is strong, and strong enough to ‘pull’ the world, so he believes that he is strong, and gives himself confidence, and that makes him not as nervous.
His first nationals was when he was in primary 5. He was really nervous then, and did not perform well. The failure made him realise that its useless to be nervous. In the next competition he just went with a relaxed state of mind, and wasn’t nervous. Like after a lot of consideration, he realised that its useless to be nervous because it won’t make you perform better, so its better not be be nervous. Only for him he’s more stiff at the start though.
Nino decides to conduct a test to see if SK is really not nervous at all.
LOL. Putting the iPhone screen protector as a test. I’m good at that… don’t ask me to do for big objects like laptop though… it was utter headache… you can say that I’m a perfectionist when it comes to such stuff and with a huge screen like the laptop… -.-‘’’ so many air bubbles… ><
It’s the staff’s handphone! He just got it like the day before, and the seal is still on even.
SK: Ah, please paste it on yourself!
Lol! This guy is really cute. IMHO this is more about how careful you are rather than nerves… 
They ask if he’s good at sticking on the screen protector. He replies that he doesn’t really do it, he just gets the shop staff to paste it for him.
They laugh at his honest reply.
He starts. J comments on how he tore off the entire protection layer in one go. Which is what i was about to say too. Its not a good idea as the chances of dust floating in the air and sticking onto the film is very high. Dust particles = air bubbles.
That was fast!
SK: Umai! Umai kore! (This is good!)
SK looks the most surprised XD
SK: (the staff) will be very happy with this i think.
Nicely stuck on!
SK loves watching and reading detective conan! He’ll record the anime every week, and he has the whole series of conan manga!
They got conan to appear on the show!
SK: Kawaii!
N to conan: Shall we give him that?
Conan: *bunch of stuff about Shirai and the skill named after him* The thief is Shirai Kenzo!
SK: No!
Nino asks if there’s anything he wants to ask Conan. SK: It’s a really detailed question but… recently Conan-kun changed his phone in the anime. 
SK: Why did you change your phone?
They repeated Conan’s introduction sentence as the answer XD
J asks if Conan was really good friends with Nino. The staff starts playing the intro again and J gets angry XD
S: Conan joke ne?
Conan has a challenge for Shirai, if he succeeds, Conan will give him a present.
It’s a question from one of the Conan movies. If Shirai-san has watched the movie, he’ll be able to answer easily. (too bad i’ve only read the manga, have not watched the anime or any movie)
Too lazy to translate the qn >< Something about the king in the fish kingdom… and which is the previous (or was it next) king.
SK complains that he can’t really remember. He has watched all the movies though. Nino informs him that it’s the movies that aired in 2007.
SK: Ah! Its number 1!
He got it right! It’s a pun on the word ika-sama. I think apart from meaning squid king, it also means previous king. (i think! some kind of word play lets just leave it as that)
And the present! A signed panel drawing of conan from the author!
Cool!
SK: I’m more happy than (winning in) the world championships
And a last word from Conan. It’s the conan movie promotion!
J had to ask the question abt Conan being friends with Nino again. And they end off with the post together XD
Even J has to laugh at that XD
With that Conan-kun leaves and they move on to the last section of the board (and the show). The current biggest problem faced by SK.
And what is it? “Doesn’t understand fashion” Yup, that’s his headache right now. They remark about how indeed SK doesn’t have much chance to wear anything but jerseys (and his other sportswear)
N: After this, for the sake of SK, we are a really good corner just for him!
They all complain about how the Ninomi house corner just ended like this.
And so we move on to the 2nd and last corner of today’s AnShi. The new corner Select Shop by Don Matsumoto J!
This is the kind of clothes he wears normally. Cute! N: Understand understand! O: This kind of feeling ne? SK: I donttatck, i don’t know if it’ll be suitable or not
N: Like just wear what everybody is wearing yeah? SK: Ya
S: Something safe but still fashionable. What do you think about this J? Honestly.
J: To be honest, its not attacking at all (attacking in the sense of like, wearing something more unique, more outstanding, to show more individual personality etc…)
S: So if he attacks, what will be be like?
J: Ah… indeed… why don’t you come to my select shop?
And so they leave the studio to go to J’s select shop!
SK: I’ve not really come to this kind of shops before
And there’s the shop XD
J starts picking out some clothes right away
SK comments that he prefers the jackets more, and so they go off to look at the jackets.
J: For example something like this…
SK is skinny but… ah the muscles!
S: Matsujun is like a shop staff!
SK asks what to wear inside the jacket. J comments that just something that what J’s currently wearing will do… or if its him he’ll pick something like this (see below)
J is totally in his serious mode now.
N: We are watching him just shopping normally!
J decides that he wishes him to wear something more mature looking and picks out another jacket
A: Attack more for the bottom please! Use more colours… J: You’re noisy! SK: *laughs*
Aiba: o.0 You can hear? N: We can be heard? J: Yes i can!
Wow, i thought they won’t hear what going on in the studio too!
He sends SK off to change. J is confident of his selection
J folds a pair of jeans and put it back on the shelf while Shirai is changing. Just like a shop attendant. Nino asks what he’ll pick if he were to go all out and attack. J: then it has to be this… *walks over and picks out a piece*
J: Either this or...
J: That.
Change completed!
I must agree the J’s choices are great. Esp love the red socks. Adds that touch of playfulness to the otherwise more serious/mature outfit.
J comments that SK can wear this anywhere. The rest of Arashi requests for a more outstanding outfit. A ‘5 twists’ outfit…!
J returns to the studio… clothes selection complete!
J says that we’ll be able to see a SK that we’ve not seen before.
And the stage is set!

I can’t help but notice the number of rings he has on. Oh well, he fashion coordinator was J after all.. XD
I count at least 4 rings, two on each hand...
J: This (the top) is from london, the shorts from new york, the shoes and hat from paris
And if you didn’t notice earlier, the cap has misname Kenzo on it!
Sho comments on how the outfit looks fits for a king. They ask how he feels about it.
SK: Eh, its really embarrassing!
If it was me I’d probably be feeling like how arashi did when they had to wear the transparent rain coat outfits :P
And the ending! Sho ask SK how was it. SK: It was really fun. S: Are you really Shirai-kun?

1,2,3,4 4 rings!
S: Ano, are you a lost child?
SK: This is really embarrassing!
Sho asks him to say a word about the Rio olympics in three years, as well as the Tokyo olympics in 7 year’s time.
He couldn’t finish saying it properly though… Shirai’s outfit was really too amusing XD
J: I wished we asked about this earlier!
After Sho asks the qn again, without laughing this time, SK answers. My rough translation: For Rio, he will be following in the footsteps of his seniors and they will be pulling him along. He will challenge and try to enjoy himself. But for Tokyo, he will be at the age where he will have to lead himself. He hopes to be a reliable Ace player then.
He’ll be 23 during the Tokyo olympics, right at the prime of his career!
S: Be a reliable Ace, and then wear the Kenzo cap!
N: Hope to see you wearing this!
N: Keep wearing it!

coolohohOk, its been a real long time since I last did AnS reviews. Not that I’ve done many in the 1st place. AnS is a talk bangumi and translating all that talk is tedious work. Nonetheless since this week’s guest is Shirai Kenzo and I love watching Japanese gymnastics (my fav is still Uchimura Kohei though, I still can’t get over how that guy’s my age, the world’s strongest gymnast, AND a dad. Opps, I just said my age…). Anyhow… I will just skip over uninteresting parts as usual. (Actually more like the parts I can’t translate.)
We start off with the relatively new corner, the delicious but tedious shops in Tokyo segment.
Oh this part is going to be bad, bad bad. I probably won’t be able to understand most of the ‘tedious’ part.
O and J are the ‘victims’ today.
They got a tedious guest to join them today.
She starts off with an imitation of someone else, which got everyone laughing a little.
This time the shop is in Shibuya. The MC asks if they (arashi) comes here in their private time.
J: I do come but… I’m glad (the shop) its in the city.
Every time i see this screen I’d wonder if the word tedious is a good/the best way to translate kudoi. But since the program themselves uses it… i’ll just follow suit. (I can’t think of anything else anyway).
Today they are visiting this shop.
It’s a 35 year old famous shop, Kushi toku (hope i got that right).
MC starts by asking them what they think of the shop’s atmosphere. J: Its very clean/beautiful!
Here’s the shop owner. Apparently this kind of shops are aplenty in Osaka, but there are hardly any in Tokyo
Ahhhhh this is hard to translate now. The shop owner’s real name (as in, he didn’t change it because of what he’s selling) is 三串. 串 means erm… skewer. As in the skewer in Kushiyaki (串焼き), which is exactly what his shop sells.
The MC goes on to explain that in this shop, there is no menu. The owner will bring out seasonal kushiyakis for the guests instead. 
First up is prawn shiso roll.
Shop owner: The sauce in the middle is this shop’s pride. If you will try the sauce I will be extremely happy.
J: Ja is it ok if i just dip it in the sauce?
Owner: Sauce! (Sou desu)
MC: It has started! Delicious but tedious shop in Tokyo!
J and O: …
Ahhh looks delicious! I’m hungry… ><
O: Ah umai!
J: Saku saku desu ne? (Saku saku meaning: SFX for quietly eating something lightly crunchy, like biscuits) 
Owner: Yes, its my work (saku) desu.
Get the (lame) joke? XD
Leader is amused.
Next up is this… arghs… I AM STARVING. Waiting for my dad to get home then we’ll going out for dinner to celebrate my mum’s bday. And I’m starving!!! Lets see how far I can get on this review before its dinner time XD.
Ok back to the show, this delicious looking thing is… tomato + sausage? 
Ah so that’s what it is. Sausage pieces plus mini tomato. An original creation by the shop owner.
To be eaten with the ketchup sauce recommended by the owner.
Yet another close up. Sorry, I just can’t resist.
The shop owner made some joke about the tomato. Some word play which my level of Japanese does not allow my to fully comprehend...
J: Oishii!
J says it’s a good mixture of Japanese and western.
The shop owner explains that humans get hungry after laughing, so he makes his customers laugh and then they can eat more, and he’ll sell more and earn more :P
Next up is chicken. OMG look at how juicy it is…. *drools*
Shop owner: This is ‘toriyasui toriniku’ desu. (meaning: easy to take, chicken meat. Another word play pun.) And another wordplay on the word salt that i can’t catch later, they start eating.
J looks like he has flown to heaven :P
J comments on how the breadcrumbs used in the outer coat is very good. 
The breadcrumbs are self made, and purposely ground till they are extra fine to give the coating a light texture.
Indeed it looks as fine as sand
Guest: Its really light, just like my weight.
haha, guess she wants to be part of the action too.
Just specially for them, the owner is taking requests on what they want to eat. Normally the shop owner will do all the choosing. The MC gives them some choices from 3 broad categories: meat, fish, and veggies. Ohno makes his request first.
O: Ja, the fish category, hamaguri (a type of shell fish).
Here it is! Spring onion and hamaguri! And then another joke about how this is called ‘beach melon’. Beach being the shellfish, and melon being the spring onion.
Hahaha J’s face!
Ohno comments on how the combination is perfect, and it feels like the taste got condensed.

Dinner time!
Right, allow me to side track for a bit… we had Japanese to celebrate my mum’s bday… ordered an amaebi sashimi among other things and it comes with the shiso veggie. Not the first time i’ve eaten the leaf… it tastes kinda tangy, a little like mint but with a twist...

Ok back to AnShi proper...
The next item they introduced was lotus root (ordered by the guest), with meat stuffed in the holes of the root.
Its curry flavoured meat! Wow, i so want to eat this!
Last is the pork ordered by J
Its pork and ginger. And they recommend it to be dipped in salt before eating.
J: Unn! UMAI! The balance is superb!
Kyaaaa…. just looking at their faces makes me hungry!
And that was tokyo delicious but tedious shop, file. no. 21!
Hohoho, now we move on to the main part of the show! The gold medalist in the floor exercise in this year’s world gymnastic championships at Antwerp. Watched his performance (and the rest of the Japanese team as well) during the competition period, so I was very excited when I found out that Shirai Kenzo is going on AnShi. This guy is freaking amazing I tell you! Only 17 and he twists like nobody can. He needs to work on his execution though - its not very clean and pretty, but hey he's only freaking 17! That’s like 2 years younger than my sis! I wonder if he’s good at the other apparatus though… wonder if he’ll be able to become an all rounder like Uchimura… but still, this guy has got the most difficult routine in the ENTIRE WORLD and I mean it literally! Crazy, just crazy! Definitely the next up and coming gymnastic star, you’ll see him shine in the Tokyo Olympics I swear.
Yeah! AnS starto! (Gosh can you believe it? Its been a whole 5 days since i started watching this episode, and only now am I getting to the start. Been tired and busy with a wedding dinner and visits to the doctors… >< )
My sis was remarking to me about how short this guy is… indeed… totally dwarfed by arashi… (and in the tall world of idols, arashi is like really short) he’s about my height… ah so this is how i will look like (in terms of height) if i were to stand with arashi… ><
Sho introduces today’s guest. Which i’ve done earlier :P
Sho asks how he feels, is he nervous because of all the cameras around, and the guests? He replies that he isn’t nervous at all. In fact, he’s the type who gets motivated because of all the guests watching.
Arashi comments on how great that is, and one of them said that (his feeling) is that of a star.
Sho congratulates him on the gold medal win in Belgium. He is the youngest gold medalist in the history of Japanese gymnastics. Sho asked he if knew he would break this record if he wins. SK (Shirai Kenzo): Yes, I knew it beforehand. J: Did you have the confidence to get it? SK: As long as it (the quadruple twist i think, basically the most difficult item in his routine) succeeds, I will get gold.
Everyone is in awe of this young star.
He’s the first guy to perform that skill successfully, and it’s now named after him. J asks if he was aware that the skill will be named after him. He reply was something like he wasn’t aware of it at all, until after the competition ended and they asked him about it during interviews, that he remembered about it.
Sho asks if someone who’s not Shirai does the Shirai (the skill), how will Shirai feel? SK: Ah, but i’ll be happy! Like, ah, that’s my skill!
And we proceed to the first corner. News Live Ninomi Ya (Ninomi House)
Nino starts by asking J when he got into Johnnys. J: In 96. N: And Aiba? A: 96. (haha I know where he’s getting with this one… :P ) S: 95.
N: And Ohno? O: I don’t wanna say!
Finally he said it, he got into Johnnys in 1994. (which happens to be my sis’s birthday, and two years before Shirai was born haha. Arashi, you guys are getting OLD!)

The next bit of info… Height 161cm - that’s my height! Weight 51kg - wayyy lighter than me. Body fat 8%… ><
Sho starts asking him about his muscles… and then he asks if its ok for Ohno to touch his muscles… 
Lol Oh-chan! Are you trying to scare the kid or something?
LOLOLOL!

S: How? O: I love those muscles! S: Are you going to become a gay?
Lol oh-chan! That guy is still underaged!
Ohno reports that his muscles are really soft. Not the rock hard type. Sho asks if its ok to his arm muscles. SK: As long as I take of my jersey its fine. O: Ah then take it off!
And ohno immediately starts helping him out of the jersey! LOLOLOL! Since when did Ohno have such a fascination for young boys… :P But i must say that Shirai reminds me of chibi J. Esp the thick eyebrows.
Ah look at those huge muscles! SK: But this is totally on the skinny side.
Sho: Ah indeed, Uchimura’s ones are really big ne?
Nino checks out his non-existent muscles.
Aiba helps him hold up the pin mic that fell off when he took the jersey off. SK wants to grab back themic. A: Its ok, just talk normally, it ok! SK: Ah thank you. And then Nino steals the show...
Muscles? What muscles! hahaha!
His 1st turning point in life came at the tender age of 5, when he did his first back flip.
He can’t rem when he first started trying to do back flips, or when he first succeeded. But he started gymnastics at the age of 3 as both his parents are teachers at a gymnastics club. Both his brothers are there as well, so he goes there with the feeling of going to a park to play.
S: Ah Uchimura was like that too yeah?
SK: The swing is like the trampoline, that kind of feel. J: The swing is like the trampoline????
A: Jumping on the trampoline to play at 3 years old ne?
Nino announces that they have a video of Shirai doing backflips. The video is of Shirai when he was 6.
Chibi Shirai did like 10 or more backflips in a row, with fantastic form, across the entire diagonal length of the mat.
N: Its not like he was playing at home and managed to do one messy backflip. He went like *up down up down* and did a lot of backflips.
SK: It was probably a game to see how many backflips we can do in a row, and I hate losing and so I did it.
N: And 12 years later, at age 17, he’s turning point no. 2.
S: That’s right now isn’t it?
SK: Yes right now
N: Gold medalist at the world championships!
How ever, no video of his quadruple twist will not be shown! LOL. Pesky nino. He explains that there’s some other stuff that he wants to do first and the video will be shown later.
The origin of his twists comes from beef bowl rice! SK loves beef don. He’ll eat it even before competitions.

it was the episode when this guy (koroke-san?) went on AnShi… first up is the guest's imitation of bruce lee. then it's S turn
gosh its so hard to describe… its just… plain hilarious!
just some frantic old man trying to put his hand in the kettle! XD at the end… he went: Ahhhhhhhh i don't want this to be aired!

next is when kitajima kosuke went on AnS.

no. 3 is the rare miss from nino! ha! i remember this really well!
the topic was about shoes. the guest says he hardly buys shoes… like in 10 years he's only bought a pair. but nino somehow mistook it as socks, and asks the guest how come he didn’t buy it in packs of 3 or 5, which is cheaper...
Look at Sho's face as nino was talking about 3pairs (of socks, but the rest thinks he's talking abt shoes) sold together, with different colours.
A: Eh? What? Not shoes? You mean socks?
N: Ah? Shoes? *embarrassed look*
next up is the episode where match-san went on AnShi
in front of his JE super grand senpai… nino remarks abt how he got so shocked by his senior's words that his pants tore :P

aiba was made to do his old gag… 'phun gorilla...'
somehow nino ends up putting on the shirt and made to do his version of the gag...

this was from this month's episode...
there was an entire section that was unaired… aiba teaching the guest how to make a simple dinner...
when it was aired, all we got to see was ohno thanking the guest or something… aiba's cooking was completely cut! the only evidence of the segment ever occurring was the lonely plate on the table...
aiba laughs like mad at the vtr…!
actually because nine's magic was too good, there wasn’t enough time and aiba's segment got cut entirely! aw poor thing ><
aiba complains that they could have at least showed a bit of the cut segment! haha! i thought they were going to show the cut off part too but… the staff is quite mean ne? :P
apparently aiba did some magic in that episode too… but it got cut as well… aw…!
S: since this time it got cut off as well, it'll probably never going to get shown again.
A: *laughter*
J is up next!
J was asked to brush the crocodiles teeth...
then J suddenly went 'oiiiiiii'
and the crocodile made the same noise! J got really shocked and scared XD

first he gave the weather report from osaka… -3 degrees C in osaka…! while wearing that??? hahaha
then from sapporo… boy poor… hahaha moving the props into place! XD
and bending down to put on the clothing XD
and while ohno is shivering like mad in sapporo… the thermometer shows 26 degrees C! XD Nino asks Oh-chan for the current temperature...
ohno walks over to the thermometer and finally realises what went wrong… he covers thermometer XD you're so funny oh-chan!
2nd one! some episode i've not watched b4 again! all 5 of them played the electric guitar with the guest…
at the end of the show the 5 of them decides to do it again by themselves...
ohno was supposed to be the lead, and give to cue to end the performance...
when he finally gives the cue… he fails terribly at playing the ending part XD
last vtr now!
it’s the right or wrong quiz… contestants will have to dash and break the wall… behind the wall of the wrong answer is a puddle of water waiting to wet the contestants!
A qn is asked, J thinks its wrong… he gets leader to go for the correct answer, but leader refuses
so J decides to go for the correct one, while leader goes for the wrong one. (as in, its like a true false qn)
Ohno scolds J, calling him a devil XD
haha in the end the first one that J made ohno do was correct!

funky girls + AD brings out a board with the script… Or shd i say… boards.
G: let me read out the script. Ah first up is the sakurai role. Who's going to act out the role of sakurai?
S: *anxiously steps out* sakurai is here! of cos i should do it right!?!?!
MC: don't complicate things unnecessarily!
G: ah ok… then each of you act out ur own roles!
Arashi: thank you!
And so he starts reading out the script. here's my attempt at translating it… in brackets are the actions they are required to do
S: what's wrong leader? You look deep in thought.
O: …everyone, listen to me!
Rest: We are listening!
O: I think that today, I'm going to graduate from Arashi!
Rest: EHHHHH!!!!!!!?
J: Why? Why? (while grabbing on to ohno's chest)
S: calm down! i understand you feeling but…
O: I…. I want to become a fisherman!
Rest: FISHERMAN!!!?!?!?!
A: What's this? haha! I can help but laugh!!
N: No… no… this can't be happening!!! (crying)
S: Don't cry! even though i understand how you feel…
J: You really think you can make a living from being a fisherman? (once again grabbing ohno's chest)
S: Don't quarrel! Even though i understand how you feel… [yeah, this line is like Sho's pet phrase lol, S complained a little about having to keep say this line XD]
O: I just want to fish!

S: <To N> I don't understand your feelings. Leader, would you reconsider? What other things there are apart from graduation!
J: What kind of day is this? [some comedian's gag line, that G is very into now]
Anyway the next step!
Step 2: Learn director chimera's weird antics! (ok, I'm not sure what the word means. weird antics? overall just… learn his acting skills)
The MC kindly informs arashi that the director is very strict, and that even famous actors (see that little box on the left) have cried after being criticised by him
S: really?
crowd: ehhhhhhhh?
G: nope that's not true
G orders Nino to change the turn in the style of his favourite movie 'locky'
N throws up some punches and then does a victory pose while saying the famous lines :)
So this is where they'll be doing the short film! G explains the setting is some kind of control room… like somewhere they gather say after a concert or something kind of job together… and then that's when the whole talk started.
G starts telling them where to stand etc. 1st leader's place is in the middle. J: so you have a vision? (on how we shd stand etc) G: Yes i do. J: and so we just follow? G: yes, you all just have to get on the ride
somehow they just end up standing in one line. they complain about how its boring and didn’t make use of the set at all :P
G: okok i understand! leader will stand like this… while the rest of you will tilt your bodies in the direction of leader.
(Lol seriously! once a comedian, always a comedian haha!)
J: Its not a problem of which way we are facing though…
G: ah isn't this great!!!! (because) I HAVE A PLAN!
Arashi: Okok *nodding*
the rehearsals start...
at the EHHHH line, all of them are supposed to look at camera no. 3 while gesturing. Yes, it’s a comedy skit, if you haven already gotten it :P
O: even me?
G: yes yes.
G demos how leader shd act.
They do it again. Hilarious! (don't you think oh-chan is really brown these days? he must have gone fishing a lot eh?)
they continue the skit..
G: Ah wrong! its supposed to be like this! *does crossing and waving his hands in a wave like motion… which is the trait mark gag of another comedian*
*see the comedian in red, he appeared on AnShi the week before*
Arashi complains that it wasn’t written on the script, and on the script J's supposed to grab ohno's chest. G: Its fine its fine its fine!
J has no choice but to follow XD ah hilarious!
S clarifies how he shd calm J down...
S: shd i do it by trying to catch J's hands?
G: yes that!
So J and S ends up doing the little dance XD
Next up is leader's line, and they have to go back to the starting 'basic' position and listen to oh-chan's talk.
and they do it again: Fisherman???
G: hahaha! Ohno is the one who is the most surprised!
Next up is aiba's line. G makes aiba bend down, pick up an imaginary item and throw it while saying his line! He's supposed to pretend there's a lake in front and he's skipping stones XD Yes… a lake in front of the greenroom haha!
Aiba skips a stone nicely :)
He nods as he looks on at the skipping stone.
Next nino is supposed to kneel on the floor while singing his line: i don't want this!
G demonstrates how N should sing his line. Yes, literally, sing.
N: *accusing tone* Anpanman -.-'''
apparently the line was sung to the theme song of the cartoon haha
G: because my daughter is watching! (in the talk earlier he said that his daughter love watching anpanman.)
and so Nino sings XD
He makes J repeat the earlier move, while of cos arashi complains about the change in script XD
G: ah ok… then say the script while doing this! 'You think you can really become a fisherman?'
I think they're all getting stomachaches from laughing too much XD
and ohno's supposed to pretend he hurt his shoulder while saying 'i want to fish!'
J: that's not cool!
A: *while dancing around like… a weirdo? a drunkard?* it doesn’t make a difference to me/i don't dive a damn!
N: Okasaannnnn! (Mummy!)
G: hmm that's a bit different ya… my 3 year old daughter does this when she crys…
G's demo: *sobs* Oke *sobs* oka *sobs* Okaaasaaaannnnn!
N: how come I'm acting as ur daughter?

G demos how J should walk up to the camera to say the last line with great impact...
MC: he completely copied it! Completely copying the gag of his junior!
after some consideration though… G decides that instead of crying for his mommy, he shd yell for anpanman instead… and of cos nino protest violently. But then G insists saying that because his daughter is watching haha
then he decides to rope in the MC for his comedy. MC: ehhhh?
The mc gets ordered to sing a song entitled 'graduation'.
then J comes out to say his line, cutting off the singing and ending the skit.
and then step 3! In one try do the wild acting with uchimura!
they get some time off to rehearse… then they must do it in front of the audience in one shot! no second chances will be given!
some screenies of them in the backstage… G: sorry! for making you guys do this! :P
and so they reenter the studio for the 'actual' shot!
and the short movie 'Graduation from Arashi' starts!
G gives the starting call.
S: what's wrong? whats with the deep in thought look?
O: everyone, listen up!
Rest: we're listening!
O: I want to graduation from arashi.
In perfect unison! nice XD
but then the director orders a cut. XD he complains that they were taking too long in between each line XD he asks them to do it with a slightly faster tempo, more energetically
so much so for doing everything in one shot. we move to take 2 XD
and so they started from the beginning...
J: why! Why!
S: clam down! even though i understand ur feeling...
O: i want to become a fisherman!
and again! All: fisherman???
While aiba picks up a stone, nino scrambles into position for his line.
(nothing much to say but repeat their lines)
ohno with his dramatic face!

And so the skit ends!
G declares that it was perfect!
MC: So how was it? chimera's directing
S: it was very unique…
N: The script and what we did was completely different...
and then they watch the whole thing together with all the sound effects etc...

G: that was great!
A: EH?
J: what was that?
G: ah the one after editing
A: after all the rehearsals we did…
N: I'm not sure if you heard about it but… today it’s a special (episode)
G: *guilty look*

S: so instead of using this as a walking stick, its more for self defence right?

last: when he was freezing at some location shoot and was passed a jacket to warm himself, he was most concerned over whether the pocket is at the back or the front. i.e. like whether it was put on correctly/properly
apparently G has lots of demin shirts, but he doesn’t do the ironing. its all done by his wife. S asks him abt his daily schedule. G normally wakes up at ard 7am. They start talking abt his house etc… not very interesting talk :P

Recently in Itte Q filming he did a 120m free fall in some US amusement park
apparently he tried to break the guiness world record of the greatest length of moonwalk walked in an hour
G hardly gets angry. Like when given cold bentos others might ask the staff to buy a new warm one, but instead G will thank and staff and eat up.

G gets really nervous gng on programs, or even on his own shows when it’s a live recording. Oh and butais too.
Apparently he started getting nervous once it was decided that he was coming on AnS, and before the recording started he threw up :X
S: Out of the 5 of us, MatsuJun also get very nervous. Recently its not so, but 5-6 years ago, before the concerts… only J would be standing in front of the mirror doing this:

J was trying to calm down, relax and focus by breathing.

S: I heard that we'll be listening to scary stories…
MC: Ah so you heard about it! You you like scary stories?
they reluctantly agreed… since they were in the bar (which specialises in telling scary stories) after all
they started talking about scary stories and the MC gave an example. Like if, on the busy street crossing, there's already a lot of direction panels… but on top of it all there's a special sign saying 'beware or other dangers!' that kind of story. The MC just stopped the story and left it hanging, leaving the member complaining about the cliffhanger.
So today's AnShi will be about that sort of stories...
and here comes the 1st story teller!
yup, that's him! Arashi commented on his dressing and hairstyle, he replied that it’s the 1st time he's spotting such a hairstyle after 16 years in the entertainment industry XD
They move to some chairs and seat down as the first aniki guest starts the story. Its about how tokyo is protected by two dog statues.
He says that tokyo would be unimaginable without these two bronze statues.
S: is this because of feng shui?
Aniki: Yes!
N: Ok next story!
You gotta love bratty nino. After some fussing with nino, aniki continues the story.
Location of the two bronze statues. The bottom left is the statue of the dog hachiko, the top right statue is of Saigou with his dog… in this story it's the dog that's the main character. Aniki asks if anyone knows why Saigo is out with his dog. N: Of cos its to go on a walk isn't it? Walking the dog…?
MC: this dog is called tsun. It’s a small hunting dog. It can catch rabbits, foxes, and other small animals.
Aniki then explains that there's been a lot of text and recordings on the contributions make by Saigo-san, but none of it mentions him hunting with his dog… so why do they build a statue of him and his dog?
Its all because the dog is important. Where the statue is, its called the oni gate (ghost gate). The hachiko statue on located at some other ghost gate, and those two gates are the most important in feng shui. Together, those two are known as komainu, or lion-dogs. One of the dog is male, the other is female… so like yin and yang they protect the boundary of tokyo. If anything happened to the statues something really bad will happen.
Like for example something bad happened to the hachiko statue twice. The 1st was when they melted down the entire statue in during the world war 2, to use the bronze to make weapons (its in wikipedia as well). The next day after the statue was melted down, Japan surrendered in the war. The 2nd incident was when the change the direction of the statue. They were renovating the station and change the direction of the statue. That year Japan's economy burst.
At that point in the the bartender made some noise, scary the members a little XD
Then they move on to talk about the hidden feng shui meaning in the anime momo-taro. There are 3 animals in the anime - chicken, dog, and monkey. Why don't they bring along stronger animals like tigers or lions to defeat the Oni? Aniki starts explaining why only those 3 animals will work. They talk about the 12 animals in the zodiac...
the 3 earlier mentioned animals are next to each other in the order of the zodiac.
Just like the earlier story, the top right location is the ghost gate, the location where the chicken n monkey are is the 'back ghost gate', so those animals can defeat the ghost. That's also why the Oni have horns of the cow, and pants with tiger stripes, like the 2 animals tiger and cow in the ghost gate.
The MC starts talking about feng shui in hong kong. E.g. companies go to court to fight over despots over feng shui (e.g. someone may build a building that will purposely bring bad feng shui to the other neighbouring buildings). Banks and companies hire many feng shui masters to help design the building, and see where to locate things ilike the escalators and so on. Like there's a building with very good feng shui nearby, so they ask the feng shui masters how to break the good feng shui of the other building… they ending up designing the building into a huge knife shape to cut away the rival's good feng shui. So the MC concludes by saying that it won't be weird if in the old times the Japanese thought about all these feng shui stuff when erecting the statues.
Aniki confirms saying that he thinks this story in highly believable. J forces him to get a % on how true he feels the story is… Aniki: O.o. ???!?!?! How many percent?

Nino presses him for an answer. Aniki: (after loads of laughing and consideration) Eh… 62%?
They laugh. J: That's not very high!
*nods* I agree with u J.
Next they talk about the feng shui in disney land.
Aniki says that he'll reveal palm reading to them… Arashi asks how many percent XD (reliability). I love it when they do stuff like this XD
Aniki: Are you going to ask how many percent each time?
Nino: But we are all curious about it!
Aniki: 63%

N: How many percent is palm reading?
Aniki: 100%!
They start looking at Ohno's palms.
Aniki says that the lines and shape of the palm is the same as the arrangement of attractions in disney land.
N asks O to look at his hands.
Aniki explains that left hand represents the past, and the right hand represents the future.
In disney, all the attractions like pirates etc that are kind of… from the past, as on the left. N looks up with realisation. On the right side, there's space land and all the futuristic attractions. He starts going into specifics about how an attraction with a gold mine storyline is location in the 'gold luck line' of the hand, where the 'wedding line' is in the palm, in disney land it’s the cinderella castle. At the 'children's line' location, disney built the 'it’s a small world' attraction.
Methinks Ohno is bored.
So anyway… if you know about palm reading and happen to get lost in disneyland, you just need to look at your palm for directions :P
Now they change topic to talk about ghosts and spirits.
Nino keeps asking really sharp questions that troubles the aniki each time. I'm loving that brat more and more each time XD
Some place in tokyo… can't quite catch what was rumoured to have occurred in this place (yes, even with chinese subs i don't understand the subs!) Something about it being a general's burial grounds. Anything this place is supposed to be a really powerful spiritual spot, so its best if you don't go there. If you go there to pray whole heartedly, you'll be treated as a friend, but if you are half hearted, or have bad intentions, you'll be treated as a foe and unspeakable things may happen to you. LIke when the GHQ tried to get soldiers to work on the location, a lot of accidents happened and hence the place was still left as it is now.
Now all the office buildings around the area face that location, because the spot is really powerful.
N: What kind of motivation should you have when you go to a power spot to pray with all your heart?
Ah$@!#@$%$**^* I love nino like this. Suspicious. Loosened tie. Unbutton shirt. Well not much screen caps to show this episode, sine it all story telling…
Aniki: you shd go with a feeling of 'I'm doing my everyday work really hard, please keep me safe' that kind of feeling.
O: can you go when you are feeling lost?
They start talking about the layout of shrines and how it relates to the female reproduction parts… so like if you are half a person (lost) when you enter the shrine, you should come out whole when walking back… like how half a person (i think they are talking about the sperm) enters the vagina but eventually a whole baby comes out. So aniki explains that its fine to go there even when you are feeling lost.
Then he talks about some well that is known as the 'clothes mirror well'. Apparently it can tell the death day of a person. S: That doesn’t help! Quite the opposite in fact!
There's a rumour that if you look into the well and see your reflection very clearly, that means that you are healthy. However if the reflection is blurred, it means you don't have long to live.
J's turn this time. J: How many %?

Aniki: i don't quite believe it myself, but it seems that the rumour is quite reliable, about 80%
J: Really?
Aniki: Because of the incident that happened. Some university students heard the story and went to investigate. Because they were still healthy young students, the reflection was clear. But when one of them went to see the reflection, someone tried to play a joke and threw a stone down, blurring the reflection. The next day, that very student died in an accident.
N: The next day?
The notice at the bottom tells us that the well is no longer open for people to use.
After that, a bell rings, signalling the end of the 1st aniki's talk time.

the first topic is about how it seems that Japan's national secrets are being stolen.
Aniki starts by talking about how instead of calling tokyo an information hub, you might as well call it a spy hub (yay spies! *thinks of my half written spy fanfics*)
Like in america you have CIA, the england it’s the MI6 etc etc… It seems like all the spies are gathering in tokyo, like ants swarming to honey, the spies are swarming to tokyo because there's loads of information to be gathered there. Apparently, its easy to get really important information in tokyo, increasing the place's popularity.
A: Since we know this already, can't we guard against it?
Aniki: yes Japan is trying to, but after the WW2, Japan gave up on its overseas intelligence activities. G8 was the only overseas spy branch but that was stopped. Of cos we have protection against spy and terrorists, like the police force does that, but its not comprehensive enough. The neighbours you guys have, they are ok aren't they?

MC: Are there a lot of such spies here?
Aniki: Its not recorded by the government, but its about the same as the number of carpenters we have here. (Very vague answer… i like haha!)
Nino asks if there can possibly be anything he knows that'll be bad if it ends up in the ears of the spies overseas, aniki says there is. 
S: Say if, this Nino that i've known for over 10 years… And i say to him ' recently something happened, and i got some money', is there a possibility that this person is a spy?
Aniki: yes there is.
Nino looks around, unsettled. N: no no no, that was just an example!
Aniki then explains that spies are usually people who are easy and comfortable to chat with (makes a mental note for my fic) So those who looks and feels like spies are actually not spies. So its really hard to find out who are spies (duh, else they won't be called spies anymore right?)
Aniki gives an example.
This beautiful lady, Anna Chapman was arrested by the FBI in 2010 for being a russian spy. (more in the wiki link) She was part of the spy swap deal between USA and Russia and now resides in Moscow...
Aniki goes on to talk about other spies. Non-human spies, literally. Like the bald eagle in the picture.
On the surface it just looks like a normal blade eagle, but actually this one is flying about of skies of saudi arabia, and is captured during saudi's counter intelligence actions. On its legs a GPS is installed, and the leg ring has hebrew written on it - i.e. it’s a spy from Israel. Saudi arabia believes its used to locate military bases etc, and protested to Israel. Israel says its just to prevent the capture of their birds, and till now the truth is still unknown.
The MC then talks about a baseball player who came to Japan from America during the period before WW2. Once, he was injured and went to the hospital. From the hospital, he took a photo of tokyo's layout, and that became important information for the bombing of the tokyo airport 10 years later during WW2.
A: DId they ask him for help to become a spy after becoming a major league player, or was he a spy first, who went on to become a major league player?
S: Either way it doesn’t matter, he's still as impressive as a spy.
Aniki: There's a way to test which of you in Arashi is the most suitable to be a spy.
He first asks arashi to guess who they think is most suitable. S: After the chat we just had, i think that someone who's able to be good friends with others instantly will be good.
Aniki: And who would that be?
S: After 2 counts let's all point to the person?
And they count…
Everyone points at Nino, while Nino points at Sho. Funny… based on the 'instantly take a liking to others/easy to talk with' criterial, I'd pick Aiba.
Aniki: You got it completely wrong. I did a background check on the members beforehand

J picked C, and as honourable protecting your country may be, he fails to make the cut.
Why? Those driven by believes may end up doing extra stuff that was not asked of them, which might end up creating trouble.
On the same question, since N loves $$$, he fails to make the cut too.
The members laugh at Nino XD A: wow you know that N loves his money N: Its just a rumour, a rumour ok? You've not heard of a money minded idol have you?
Well actually, we have. And his name is Ninomiya Kazunari. XD
So the most suitable trait out of the 3 would be having a brave and adventurous heart. *Thinks of aiba jumping on rhinos and playing with tigers*
Aniki says that from his investigation, Ohno is the most suitable to be a spy. *Yes! I knew it all along that making him the top rank spy in my story wasn’t a mistake! Okay… i guess its just cos he's my bias…. XD*
Aniki: doesn’t he look like a really normal person? No one will ever point him out. Such ppl are most suitable to be spies.
Yup. Just like how Ohno can go shopping in crowded places w/o ppl even noticing his presence. VS J who gets recognised no matter how much he tries to disguise himself…. XD

Regardless… the 3rd aniki is about to enter!
The 3rd Aniki is a writer who is very familiar with information about UFOs.
The topic: A conclusion has finally been reached on whether aliens exist or not. (I argue that it exist, from a scientific point of view, many organism can be considered aliens…)
Ainiki replies what kind of image they have of aliens. A: Its tako (squid) isn't it?
EH? Aiba-san? Where did you get that idea from? Aniki helpfully informs Aiba that his image of aliens is severely outdated. LOL! Nino springs up with something about Grue… was there such a movie? Idk… i hardly watch movies :X
Aniki digs into his suitcase for a model. Its called little grey (says aniki, i don't know).
Nowadays this is the image of aliens, be it in toys or manga… a creature with big head, big eyes, and grey skin. (How un-alien like. tsk tsk tsk) Aniki: actually, this image of the aliens have only been decided about 30 years ago. It all came about because of the movie by Steven Spielberg, Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
The aliens were portrayed like this in the movie. Also the image was preserved in his E.T. movie. Those movies fixed the image of aliens in minds around the world.
There used to be many different portrayals of aliens, but Steven's version replaced them all, and the image of aliens became fixed as such.
From there, many alien sightings and incidents occurred, and the most compiling of which was this photograph.
The photo appeared in the 80s, but the body was said to be found in USA, Roswell in 1947. (oh wow apparent'y it’s a big thing…) new of it leaked out in the 1980s, and videos of the autopsy leaked out in 1990s, and created a huge sensation around the world. Even in Japan several news stations reported on it.
The MC shared his take on the matter. He was a news reporter in Roswell and investigating the matter at that time. He interviewed a retired former top military camera man on the matter. The camera man said he'll show the MC something that'll make him really surprised. He show him what used to be top military secret photos of Japan after the WW2. The photos were all in colour. At that time, colour photo was still very rare, and when you mention photos its always in black and white. But because this is a top military secret, the photos were taken in colour. Hence it follows that should the story of the aliens be true, the videos and photos should all be in colour and not be black and white. Thus the camera man reasoned that all the leaked photos are fake. The MC concludes by saying that this story from the retired camera man has high reliability.
Aniki goes on to explain why there are all these unexplained appearances of UFOs and aliens.
In July this year, a document that's known as the 'last UFO secret' was leaked from the British air force. The British government was investigating documents on UFO sightings, and this document was published.
The document says that the research on UFO that has been conducted for over 50 years - UFO sightings, aliens, signals from space, communication with aliens etc… not a single of it happened. As in, there was no evidence of any of it happening.
The UFO lovers of course didn’t believe, and as all the army documents have an expiration date - like after XX number of years, the info will be declassified and the data available for the public to search. SO they all eagerly waited for the day and then sieved through all the data, but didn’t find anything. So this means that its has been confirmed that UFOs do not exist.
However, instead of UFO sightings decreasing, it actually increased. So if those aliens like little grey don't exist, what are those people seeing? Some author called John A. Keel had a hypothesis in the 1970s as to why there are so many UFO related sightings/stories. He came up with the theory of ultra terrestrials.
He says these ultra terrestrials use their great knowledge and height to go above the earth and looking down on us like ants and cockroaches. LIke a godlike presences, but in fact they actually live on this Earth with us.
S: So are these ultra terrestrials given birth by other ultra terrestrials? Are they a family or a race?
Aniki: We don't know about that. We don't know who are they, where they are, how they look like. We have no info about them.
So those beings are supposedly looking down at us just like we occasionally look at ants and wonder what they are doing. Keel says that those being occasionally have some fun and creates those UFO stuff to fool around with humans. That was Keel's hypothesis.
They move on to talk about the 2nd theory of aliens.
Aniki says that the worst problem in America is the high rate of child kidnappings. Like up to 80,000 cases every year. Most of the kids are found immediately, but some just disappear forever. For e.g. in America (according to Aniki! I don't know!), they will print the faces of the missing child on milk cartoons...

He says that child kidnapping a really bad social problem in the US. Most of the kidnappings are not for money, but rather for child possession rights after parents divorce. (Man he is really going off tangent here, i really don't get it!) So the kids may grow up not wanting to get married or to have boyfriends, because of the childhood trauma they had from their parent's divorce. So the US has a really advanced healthcare system, and in order to combat the trauma, they treated the children with hypnosis or mind influencing techniques, to remove their memory of the divorce.
(they look skeptical. So am i) However one day, those memories will still resurface. However as the memories were sealed away, they resurface in a different manner, in the form of 'i got kidnapped by aliens'. Like, the memory of the childhood home and everything suddenly disappeared from the child, when asks date child would reply 'because i got kidnapped by aliens'
Arashi: Ahhhhhh
And the bell rings! Signalling the end of the last story telling session! Phew… that was a lengthy one to write!
They move back to the bar counter after the Aniki leaves to conclude the session.
J has a shocking story to tell. J: 3 or 4 years ago, i went to sedona. MC: Sedona? J: Sedona in America. It's said to be a power spot. At night in the car, i was travelling to a place where the native americans were gathered/living. There were no streetlights and the place was really open. I saw what looked like shooting stars, in various different colours. The objects were flying here and there. They looked like UFOs. I was sleeping at that time, but my friends said 'look! UFOs!' and i opened up eyes and saw the UFOs too. My friends told me that at the beginning, it wasn’t just the 1 or 2 that i saw, but there were like 10 or 20 of them. After that the tour guide asked me if i could see them, if i could see so many of the UFOs. I replied that i could see them.
J: And then the guide said to me 'Matsumoto-san, you're an alien'.
Trololol! After all the suspense…
The rest gets up to leave. MC: Ah, next time if you want to hear scary stories, please come back to my bar! N: Sorry, we'll take the back door out today. XDXD
MC to J: Order anything you would like to drink, I'm leaving first.

As for this episode… well… if you can't understand Japanese very well, no point watching it w/o subs. Its all the rumour talk and there's nothing much in terms of funny arashi expression to watch. Which means less screen caps to upload. It actually finished posting by the time i got out of the bath, cool! XD

Omg. Its hard to write reviews for AnShi. There's so much talk! I guess i'll end up skipping quite a bit of the talk, gomen ne?
After a bit of small talk, they proceeded to the title call right away! No 'true or false rumour session' today! Title: Top caster Murao VS Johnny's Arashi. Revealing the face behind the News.
Aniki calls on Aiba to change the set. Aiba tries to do it newscaster style :)
J seems to be looking for instructions/directions or something… cos the arrangement of the chairs was all cramped together.

MC: On one hand we have top caster Murao-san, on the other we have national top idol arashi. There are a lot of similarities between the two. S: Really? MC: What are the similarities? N: Male. (HAHAHA NINO! You are hilarious!)
They start off with the 1st similarity. Something that aniki MUST do after every news filming. Sho asks if he knows about it. Aniki: I don't think sakurai-sai knows about it...
J (i think? I'm translating after watching each small portion, so i may forget some details or get some things wrong… find it too time consuming to keep going back and forth) asked Sho if there's anything they do together after NZ filming. Sho says that they do a reflection meeting together (agh what's that called? my english vocab isn't working T.T). Like they talk about who didnt do what properly (aniki chirped in with an e.g.: Ah today Murao-san's pronunciation was really bad!), or what went well, like if some video was good, they'd praise/thank the director or something. Like they have a ton of directors, each in charge of a different category (e.g.: social etc etc).
N: What time do you reach home? Aniki: About 1 or 1:30am everyday (ah so he's a regular. As in, regular regular :P Sorry i hardly watch NZ so i don't know :P )
They continue talking about the 'must do' thing. MC gives hint that its something he does after reaching home. And also its not part of the job. 
Sho seems to have gotten the answer! 
Sho's answer: hand washing and gargling! (as in, rinsing your mouth). I totally laughed when he said this. As you might expect, his answer is wrong XD After some more guessing, they give up and ask aniki to provide the correct answer...
Answer: Think about what flavour to use for onsen (hot bath) today! Lol ok so Sho wasn’t actually that far off after all! You know they have like those different flavours of stuff you can add to your bath? Like… idk… rose or herbs etc etc (not sure what are the 3 examples he named though). Aniki loves onsen a lot.
Then they ask him about his schedule. Aniki says that Sho knows it very well too, i think its pretty much the same for Sho on mondays (i remember reading it in a magazine somewhere, or was it on tv?). At 4pm, he enters the workplace. About 2 hours is spent on meetings. Debating about each piece of news, the positive and negative aspects of each news items, the order of presentation, who's gonna comment on which news item, etc etc. There's also times when they (the news casters) have different opinion and argue amongst themselves. Sho say's that aniki is really great at arguments… when he argues all Sho can do is this:
XD aniki says he uses up all his energy during the meeting that's why he can be so cool and collected when he is on-air haha! Next up is arashi's turn to say what they always do after live/recordings XD
S: Consider what to eat with soba (soba toppings). MC: You guys love soba a lot don't you? O: But after shiyagare, its always soba (wow never knew that, and that was like, the 2nd or 3rd sentence by ohno today :P )
Nino leans in on leader as he considers is there's anything all ALL 5 of them will do… A: Only during live (concerts), we'll eat together after the concert. But its only during live.
Eventually they decided to each say out their own habits after filming. J: I usually drink something. He's very vague with his answer, leading nino to question if they are really recording this for TV XD. J: If its after a live concert, I'd immediately drink soda. A: After live concert, i'll go eat yakiniku (bbq meat). After exercising i'll eat meat. (yes we all know aiba loves yakiniku ne? XD) S: After live, I'd go training. He mentioned something about getting rid of the lactic acid or something like that. S: After training i'll go for yakiniku. Sho loves his meat too. :) N: After recording, i'm always challenging myself to see how fast i take before i can go home. LOL NINO! He say's he only takes 2-3 minutes! O: After today's recording, i'll eat oyako nanban soba.
They had two recordings that day so after the 1st recording, he ate soba for lunch. After the current recording, he'll eat soba for dinner XD. S: Isn't it a waste of time asking us this? Yeah a little, but it was interesting nonetheless XD Conclusion: the 5 of them each do different things.
Now we move on to point 2!
Unexpected weakness!
Sho has a guess! S: He's actually bad in the evenings/night. Aniki: Sho is right! I'm actually weak at night. That's why i take a 20-30mins nap at around 8-9pm everyday. I go into a very deep sleep, sometimes i wake up no knowing where i am!
Great guess sho! A cookie for you! but that's not the answer written on the board though! Keep guessing! MC: Aniki really talks a lot. Aniki: Yes it because on NZ you only have 30 seconds, which is not enough, so here i want to talk more!
O: (aniki) gets nervous easily. Aniki: Yes, like see now I'm sweating a lot, but sadly that's not the answer (on the board) A: Hates television! Aniki: I don't like television… but that's not the right answer.
They finally decide to reveal the correct answer: He's bad at cajoling (says google translate, but somehow it feels weird in the context they are using EDIT: I think in this case they mean that he is bad at responding to flattery? Ppl would say that this (fashion item) would look good on you, and he would go 'really?').
Somehow the topic changes to talk about how he's bad at fashion (i.e. i can't 100% catch what they're saying), and they bring in a bunch of fashionable items to help him with that.
J the stylist to the rescue!

Aniki: *bows* Good evening XD
A: These are premium goods ne?
A: I think this would fit Murao-san. *looks at O and N expectantly. O and N gives A the look. A: Oi can't you guys help me out!

J picks up a scarf for him… they start giving him a 'makeover' XD trololol!
OMG LOL! He looks like a 'new half' (what japan calls transexuals) to me lol! I think it’s the wig and the glasses :P
Aniki: I'm look like I'm in the zoo!
After all that messing around its time for arashi's weaknesses.
In an episode a few weeks back, they had this similarity comparison thing too… and all 4 had the same thing but leader was always the exception :P. So this time the MC (same MC as that previous AnShi) decided to just leave a space at the side specially for Ohno! XD N: Think about it ne leader?
N: We're vainglorious/boastful. (once again, i think google translate isn't doing a good job, from J's explanation its feels like like 'keeping to ourselves') J: Like when you go on music programs with other artist, we'll talk amongst ourselves. Within the 5 of us only. N+S: Like us is us, you are you.
Aniki: That's the secret to being together for so long...
Then they ask Ohno for his weakness. O: I'm bad at making peace. I'll just sleep.
They go on to say how its not that he doesn’t listen, but he just starts to get sleepy. But he's actually still listening. 
S: So the other day we were having concert meetings/discussion/something to that effect, Ohno ended up looking like this. (see pic abv. Sho was pretending to be the sleeping Ohno)
S: Ohno was sitting right at one side, and at the opposite side was J. He was looking like he was asleep already and i thought he was not listening. Then J asked "So Ohno-kun, what do you think about this?" Ohno replied "that's good" immediately. That was really cool.
J asks if Ohno was really listening, and Ohno says he was XD.
The MC then starts commenting on how sho was very news zero like today. Like how he was a lot more serious and all… which i guess is true. Then they make him go over and sit with Aniki XD
So its zero casters on one side, and AMNO on the other now :)
They start on the next point. "What aniki will always do before he sleeps" Sho starts gesturing and asking why he's sitting WITH aniki when the answer is a personal one and not unique to zero casters… XD Cute XD
S: I look like aniki's eldest son! Are you sure this is fine?
Anyway the start guessing. J: Write dairy? Wrong. O: Reflect on the day's events? Wrong! 
they start telling ohno that it’s the same as J's guess, just phrased differently. Nino demands that aniki answers Ohno's question anyway XD Protective Nino XD
A: Do stretches! Also wrong…
S: can i answer too? Aniki: yes eldest son? S: Papa reads books! Aniki: Correct!
Seems like the son knows his dad well :P
Gosh. Sho's epic face. That got turned into a meme(s). Saw the meme before i watched this and gosh this is hilarious! And to think that he posed like this for so long… (didn’t even have to replay the video to get this screenie). BUAHAHAHAHAHA! Of cos the members complain that Sho is cheating since he should know as he's the eldest son XD
Anyway… Aniki reads this book… A: this is the relative of journey to the west or… XD
Aniki explains that it’s essays written 800 years ago. And he proceeds to recite two sentences from it… and asks if arashi has heard of it before but...
He goes on to explain what the 2 sentences meant… which I'm not gonna translate XD Ok… its roughly some poetic thing about how rivers keep flowing on and on, and how it relates to life (and death).
Sho listens on with a really serious face XD When aniki finishes his speech...
S: Next up, its Zero Culture (a segment within News Zero). XD Gosh this episode is hilarious!
Aniki continues to explain why he reads that book… and then…
S: Next up, is Zero Movie.
BUAHAHAHAHA Sho!
Then aniki starts talking about how its true, in NZ they really get very little time to talk. Like 30 seconds. For 2 person - him and sho. That kind of thing. Half way through aniki's talk, the MC goes off to press the button on set that makes the NZ's trademark '~ZERO~' go off… cutting aniki in his talk
PLUS making him bow most automatically (as they have to on NZ)… as nino points out to laughter from sho. 
So the MC tries it again...
Much to everyone's (including myself) amusement XD S: Please stop it, my body will move automatically!

The mangaka kinda ignored ohno after saying hello so ohno bent down to look at him :P
he said some to to hno which i can't catch… but probably asking him to stand further away cos he stood like… the above pic XD
Then he asks if ohno has seen the manga before. Ohno says it looks familiar but couldn’t come up with a name...
He is Ueyamatochi, the author of the manga cooking papa! Woots. A manga that's been going on for 28 years now. Sugoi! What is he gonna teach Ohno?
Right now this favourite dish is Curry Udon! (T.T! I'm hungry!)
So he's here to teach ohno how to appreciate curry udon!
Mangaka: right now there are many different types of curry udon, like cold curry udon (O: Oh there's such a thing already?), tsukemen type of curry udon (tsukemen is like you have a bowl of dry ramen/noodles, and a bowl of the soup. You dip the noodles into the soup just before eating.). There's a lot of different variety now, there's a curry udon boom now. I'll like to teach Ohno the 'king's way' (best way) of eating curry udon!
Point no. 1: Eat curry udon in soba house (aka shops) This kind of curry udon tastes great. Because soba shops they have this sauce, that's a bit sweet and spicy. When that is added to the curry, it makes the curry japanese styled. 
Point no. 2: Add a huge amount of spring onions to your curry udon! (Gosh I'm really really hungry now! and that drawing is really pretty too, as expected from a top class mangaka XD ) As expected, ohno got very interested in the drawing XD. O: Who drew this? Mangaka: I did O: it looks great/delicious! Managaka: Cos I'm a mangaka… O: Sorry that was rude. Mangaka: its ok, i get very happy when ppl say I'm good. O: Do i really put THAT much spring onion? Mangaka: Yes, because the curry has become japanese styled, it goes great with spring onions. Please do try it with this amount of spring onions. 
Point no. 3: Slurp till the curry flies everywhere! 
O: till it flies? Mangaka: Yes, slurping makes is delicious. Slurping noodles is a culture unique to Japan. By slurping the noodles, you introduce air into your mouth together with the noodles and cool the noodles in an instant. At the same time, you also take in the aroma and taste of the food.
O: what about your clothes. Mangaka: *tapping at his drawing* As long as you prepare your own apron, it'll be fine.
He informs ohno that he'll have to buy his own apron somewhere. Ohno asks if he won't be getting an apron from the mangaka. After thinking of a while though, the mangaka promises to give Ohno an apron that's used in the cooking papa manga! O: Ja, please. You said it already sensei! (i.e. don't go back on your word!)
Hahaha ohno!
So anyway… Ohno sets off to the soba place that the mangaka introduced him to.
I thought he was holding a map or an address or something but no… O: I'd be better if its not a picture, but an address...
But it finds the shop right after saying that XD Exactly like its drawn in the picture!
At the front of the shop, Ueyamakachi-san informs Ohno that he has prepared an apron specially for Ohno! He 'tosses it from the space ship to Ohno'
Who catches it happily XD

The shop that Ohno goes to has been around for 80 years already
Leader orders curry udon, with loads of spring onions :)
650 yen! Uwah its looks delicious!
O: Is it like this? (the slurping) Mangaka: No its not quite enough… you have to slurp it more violently.
O: but i don't want to do this! After you purposely drew on the apron and gave it to me. Mangaka: I really don't mind, please slurp more!
Ohno then lifts a bunch of udon really high up… but one strand of udon slipped from this chopsticks and went down with a little splash, causing ohno to jump. 
Ohno: This time I'm sure i dirtied the apron for real… 
Ohno whines at the dirtied apron. Mangaka: (you dirtied the apron but) Not in the way i asked you to though… 
O: Its good to have added so much spring onion. I'm only eating spring onions now.
After Ohno finishes the curry, the mangaka has an additional point to tell ohno. 
"Add 'half rice' into the left over curry sauce."
i think the half rice meant either half a bowl of rice?
O: Ahhhhhhhh its delicious. Compared to the usual curry rice, this curry sauce is much more watery, so it makes it easier to slurp the rice down. 
Not a single drop of curry left!

And the zero interview starts!
Aniki: Do you remember when we 1st met? J: *ponders for a while* It was in the corridor of NTV wasn’t it? Aniki: Yes, that time i was surprised that J knew my name. I thought you wouldn’t know for sure.
He goes on to ask J what he would do if he didn’t become part of Arashi. J: i've been in the entertainment industry since i was 13, and although i do quite a bit of acting now… I'd always thought that i'll become a back stage staff. (Once again, just rough translations)
*insert missing talk* XD nah, just too difficult japanese for me to properly understand, much less translate.
They don't have much time… for the last question, aniki asks J to name one weakness/bad point (or something that needs changing) about Murao-san (i.e. aniki himself). J gives some really complicated answer about how he was surprised that aniki was actually such a hot headed person during the meeting for news zero… like how there's gap between the 1st 3 hours when aniki steps into the workspace and the last 3 hours... and stuff. (meh. i thought I'd be able to translate this, but in the end… no ><, can't understand what J was trying to get at)
But yes, that ends the AnShi episode!

uwah! Finally finished! This took exceedingly long! Video refusing to load at times, having to reload the entire video when i go back and replay some slightly earlier parts of the video, shockwave crashing, accidentally pressing on the starting parts of the video when i intended to press play… and of cos, the most important thing, my poor command of the language. Not sure if I'd want to review more AnShi episodes… that was really difficult!
EDIT: Ok. This took ridiculously wrong. I think cos i made a tumblr post in between, my photo upload settings was auto changed to post to tumblr, which didn’t work, and so the posting failed. Since i always take SSes and directly pasted them w/o saving a copy… i end up having to take SS of my SSes and… you get the idea. -.-''' EDIT EDIT: AHHHH no!!! I didn’t notice some of the SSes (of the SSes) had that stupid 'NewImage thing'. Bleah.
