These 2 or 3(?) weeks will look like Arashi invasion on TV. All those things that they do in Hawaii are finally being broadcasted (it's about time!). From Shiyagare, VSA (the crying Ohno episode, and I wonder how much beer they drank during that session alone), NHK, and I'm not even sure what else LOL. Am pretty sure there'll be subs everywhere for these and rest assure when Arashi is left alone, things get interesting and naturally funny (afterall, it's their strength). But after I watched NHK documentary, I thought of doing snippets of this documentary because NHK did such a good job on it, and I won't be surprised Arashi gained even more fans after this. Seriously, they captured sides of Arashi that are rarely shown to the public, especially them in the working mode. This documentary trully show how dedicated they are to their job and they do it with heart too. Lots of consideration towards their surroundings are given to not only fans, but also the staffs in order to produce an output. No wonder everybody loves to work with Arashi.
*Note: I may translate things wrongly since my Japanese is limited, but I'll do my best. Do let me know if there's points that I do incorrectly.

This documentary is really neatly packaged, it's as if NHK spent extra effort on it. The segments will go back and forward between rehearsal and concert scenes and member talks/interviews/narration. The cool part is the Ohno's diary snippets. I didn't know he's been writing diaries and it looks like he brought the whole stack with him... interesting. Does anybody write diary like him? I don't :).

The documentary starts with the concert's scene (Pikanchi) with narration that this year Arashi did the thank you concert in Hawaii, which was enjoyed by not only Japanese fans but also fans from all over the world and how the concert has brought business to Hawaii (they feature the local newspaper for this).

These lucky girls!
Then it continues with the narration of the Hawaii debut, which we all already know.

The talks is done after the concert (obviously!) and they surrounded Arashi with 15 cameras and they provided the boys with beer. Yeah, leisure talks must be accompanied with beer. I wonder how many glasses they chugged for this session, they've been having a LOT of those on TV and definitely many more OFF TV LOL.
Arashi + camera, definitely they have to test and check them out XD.

Snippets of Matsujun being the concert master. He's really kakkoii here. They'll do this segment in more detail later.

19th Sep concert, beginning.
Then we have the Ohno's voiceover saying roughly that this year, Arashi managed to do the concert and open it with helicopter and in this concert they pack it with the popular songs throughout their 15 years span, and que: Hadashi no Mirai (I want to feel this song live, at least once in my life T__T)

Cap this because there's an very happy auntie beneath the sea of fangirls. Her expression is totally the same.

Matsujun basically started to work from 17th Sep by checking the stage and such. According to Matsujun, they didn't exactly bring the whole stage from Japan. They did bring a lot, but not all, eg. they only brought lifter and half of the lighting equipments. The serious mode, really kakkoii.
For those who never saw Arashi concert, probably would be in awe when they show snippets of the previous concerts, which I think that's the effect that NHK would like to achieve XD. And off course, they included the moving stage back story as it's Matsujun's idea and how it becomes Johnny's standard.

The reason for the helicopter: While we've doing this for 15 year, we still have the way to go from here. However, to Matsujun, he has the image of Hawaii concert is the midpoint where everybody stand (not to walk over).
The heli represents the journey to that midpoint.

Narration continues that during the rehearsal Matsujun constantly looking at his watch. He's trying to take advantage of Hawaii sunset scenery for the concert. For example, during My Girl Hawaii version performance on the sunset, Matsujun checked how it's performed from audience spot back and forward. Seriously working mode. I find Matsujun is really kakkoii here and he is taking a huge responsibility.

Question from Matsujun: Have everyone ever wanted to do the concert (his job)?

Aimiya had their chance once during 5x10. There was 1 meeting where only the 2 attended as the other 3 were busy. So, Aimiya tried to put together the setlist etc, but it's gone the next day.
Matsujun saw their work but thought it's not impactful enough because he wanted a grand concert betfitting 10th anniversarry celebration, but the opening song that Aiba-can chose was rather plain so he re-arranged it. What he meant by re-arrange was re-do LOL.

Next question by Ohno: Arashi has been told that they have good friendship. Were there any situations where the atmosphere was bad?
Ohno revealed that there's a moment where he's being stubborn and said something bad but he didn't apologize. It was during rehearsal for his solo song last year. Matsujun wanted him to sing the full song, but he insisted of singing the chorus only. After the argument, Matsujun quietly withdrawn leaving Ohno wondered whether he's said something bad, but he ended up didn't apologize.
Matsujun remembered that particular moment, he wanted to match the timing, hence singing the whole thing, but Ohno stubbornly refused to do so, and honestly he was very pissed off.
They're normal!!! They do have such moments. Am so glad to hear this. This makes them really human, not some perfect happy forever group.

Members tried to take a peek on Ohno's diary. He brought with him the whole stack? XD

The fruit of the hardwork. If you look at Matsujun's expression, it really looks like he's enjoying the result of his work (all the planning, directing and rehearsing). Maybe that's why Matsujun looks so different in concert?

As for Aiba-chan, the narration saying that Aiba-chan is one of the most hardworking members and the story leads on to the point in time when he was hospitalized for his lungs collapsed T__T.
When he was hospitalized, he thought it's over because there's a high chance of relapse because they're singing and dancing. He was so glad that he's back and soon after he's discharged he's back with Arashi for the fanmeeting event in Hawaii. But he's slightly discontent with it because he's not on fully perfect condition that he had to sit in when Arashi performed.

That's why it's like a payback time for Aiba-chan in this concert.
*hug hug hug*
And off course the crying moment during aisatsu. *the feels* This concert is very meaningful for Aiba-chan.

Sho-chan is described as the people person. The food venue outside the venue was his idea, with the intend to bring people together.
Ohno's voiceover called Sho-chan as the shadow leader. Sho-chan communicated with staffs and tried to bridge the language difference and bring the staff team together with a simple English greetings, but the feelings did go through.

Sho-chan described the struggles in his 20s. He thought that he won't be Arashi after 25, especially during 2002/3 when Arashi was in their slump. Matsujun had the same worries as to what's Arashi, what makes Arashi and whether they'll last.
Ohno then checked his diary to 5th Aug 2002, the day before Osaka live when they talked about Arashi until 5am morning and then they're sleepy during the concert.
Narration continues that Arashi had their big break in 2006 with the Arashi Around Asia tour. Then it continues with the kokuritsu concert and then the kouhaku.
Sho-chan has never dreamt that he'd in this position now and his goal is not to wake up from this dream.

The accident with Nino was that he injured his back and his leg was numbed. The next song is Monster and they supposed to start with the jump. Due to this, Matsujun decided to change the jump into the slide up (after Ohno said to do slide up. I think if Ohno didn't say this, Nino would insist of doing the jump).

The wonder of Nino. He's clearly in pain, but that painful expression literally perrished the moment he's in the spotlight. You can never tell that he's in pain that time.

Recalling the injurry, Nino said that off course it's painful and hard for him. But if he's thinking about people who paid to watch the concert, and he's paid to perform, how can he lower the quality with the excuse 'oh I hurt my back', he just couldn't do that.

Again, the magic. His pain just vanished the moment the light is on. I had goosebumps whenever I watch this.

The reason for Nino's professional work ethic is thanks to Ohno.
The story being told was there's a time around 2002/3 when Nino and Matsujun were whining about the work and felt like abandoning it aka starting from zero, but got scolded by Ohno. Usually Ohno who'd never said anything other than 'yes, got it', suddenly objected. Ohno's word in Nino's memory was 'if you give your best now, wouldn't it turn out like that?'
In Matsujun's memory, it was 'If the person doesn't give his best at what he has now, what does he give his best for?'
Ohno's word affected Nino so much that it became the base for his work ethics.
Wow, this is something very similar to what happened in V6. I remember reading Okada got scolded by Sakamoto for not giving his best and it's very similar words to what Ohno said. Sasuga, group leaders! This is Johnny's feels!!

How can he smiled like this when he's in pain. OMG, nobody will believe that he's in pain if they don't watch the documentary.

Beautiful fireworks.

So the next day, Nino was back to normal after receiving treatment for his back.

But they had rain now.
Ohno's voice over complained that rain often pours over their concert. It was the same during their 5x10. Well, actually almost all their kokuritsu concert are poured with rain/taifun.

Ohno had the struggle of quitting during 2006, to even quitting the agency. Basically he's been thinking to be 'free.' He'd been waking up with this feeling and struggling with it. He only closed the chapter during the 10th anniversary.

That confession gives the crying aisatsu another different meaning other than being touched emotionally.
And the documentary smartly continue by the insert of Kansha Kangeki Ame no Arashi performance. OMG, the feeling!

Otsukaresamadesu.

Aiba-chan: Eventhough it's slow, even though it's a detour, as long as it's the 5 of us walking unstoppable, it makes me happy.
Matsujun: it's okay to go back too.

Ohno's diary: Hawai Live is over! It's been 15 years since our debut. When I realized this, I cried. I'm really glad to be in this 5 people. I won't forget the time we spent in Hawaii for the rest of my life. Thank you for this wonderful trip.
Gah! Too many feels... Once again 15周年おめでとう!
