Arashi ni Shiyagare 2014.08.16 episode
Not a superb episode, I'm not really sure what the producer's thinking when they do the first segment. The topic is around the 'girly force of dudes' *I don't know what's the exact translation as I couldn't find it in the dictionary. It's something to justify the dudes to act girly without being labeled as Onee aka gay. Maybe this is a generation gap thingy because I don't find it interesting, in fact, even Arashi themselves are not really into the topic and they just went a long with it just like any other job (they're are pro after all).

Let's talk about Jun's 'new' hairstyle.. back to domyouji era?
See, even Matsujun admitted that the 30minutes segment that they did was KIMOCHI WARUI... they're not comfortable doing this segment, obviously, and it's shown because you know Arashi not really into the topic IF it's only Sho-chan and Nino talk most of the time (these 2 are really good host no matter how boring the topic becomes).

Matsujun close-up. To Arashi, there's no really borderline between guys being girly and gay.

See, Ohno also say the same thing. It's either manly or gay, no in between. But, they just went along with it, for the respect of their guest.

Let's talk about how SMALL size Arashi is. That sofa is a 2 seater sofa, yet they can fit in 4 people (with Nino sitting like a bird on the sofa's handle).

In here, Sho-chan offers the guest tissue as the guest is sweating... So being nice is interpreted as high girly force? Oh you gotta be kidding me!

Let's talk about how Aiba-chan is almost half size of Matsujun... so skinny and stick thin, he better eat more...

Sho-chan was letting his inner girly side came out... are you telling us something Sho-chan?

Matsujun creation of pancake decoration is gourmet type... he's thinking of aesthetic...
While our guest is just aiming for being cute with all the sprinkles...

Sho-chan was really the only one getting so excited in this segment (can relate?). He even answered the quiz correctly for what's the girly song to sing... it's Nishino Kana's Aitakute.
Oh, Sho-chan... if it's not because of you, I've fast forwarded this segment... really...
On the other hand, the 2nd segment is more interesting to me, and this is thanks to Sho-chan. It's a simple segment of basically Sho-chan and the guest Suzuki Ryota presented their recommendation on where to go for your summer vacation.
Sho-chan clearly showcase places where he actually went before (as we all know it): Ankor wat (Cambodia); St Petersburg (Rusia) and Istanbul (Turkey), while the guest never go to any of the places that he recommended LOL. I think the result is rather staged but nevertheless, it's quite fun to watch.

OMG, Arashi-chan, you guys are so chibi LOL, and Sho-chan, what the heck are you wearing!!! LOL
He really looked like a kindergarten kid LOL especially with that water bottle bag haha..
Sho-chan did complain what's with the costume haha...

Look close-up and really look like a kindergarten kid LOL
And the guest has changed to the correct Indiana Jones costume (the BGM is Indiana Jones' OST LOL)

But fret not, we have INDIE SHO-kun instead...
Sho-chan's funny poses throughout the whole segment... with Aiba-chan shout out 'ganbare' on the first one (sasuga, Sakuraiba LOL)

by the 3rd pose, Sho-chan almost ran out of idea, but luckily he's able to pick up the pipe on time LOL

Matsujun has some moment in this segment:
1. the cute awkward look when he ask the guest whether he went to the place before and the guest just point blank answer back, NOPE.
2. He gave the best impression of 'it's a fantasy' remarks.
Best trolling off course went to Nino during this part:

They're discussing Kanaima National Park
Aiba: Where is that? (Doko?)

Nino: It's a park right? We have A LOT in Japan.
And lastly, Sho-chan many expressions:

The guest said that Ankor Wat is beautiful (something like that) but CHARAI.. LOL

Bonus because he really looks like a boy scout here...
So, this episode is totally saved by Sho-chan! He's the highlight :)

Well I think the front part was actually really funny though. The feminine power thing. The guest was so hilarious. When he came out with the pancake everyone was like... 'ehhh?' And I was like okays... that white pile of cream is supposed to be more girly? Hahahaha. And them hugging the teddy bears and trying to be girly muahahahaha! Hilarious! The guest has a great sense of humor too. Always giving answers to the MCQ that's not in the choices trololol!
And the 2nd segment... its funny how SHo introduces all the places he has been to, whereas the guest has never been to any of the places he introduced :P Too bad it ended in a tie though hahhaaha. I was hoping that Sho would win :P But its interesting to see the sort of weird stuff they have in Japan. A cert/exam to certify that you are the pro in knowing about all these world heritage places? Never knew there's such a thing!

yes Japan has so many different type of certification, I first find it weird that they have vegetable somellier haha...

I enjoyed this episode maybe because Sho-chan is my ichiban ^^no subject

I think both parts are fun to watch. The first part is pure entertainment, but the second part is both entertaining and informative.
Sho likes to travel, and he did good preparations before and take good notes after his travel. So his recommendations should be pretty reliable XD

Yay for your lovely review!

I actually enjoyed the first segment though there's nothing much there xD Just saw Arashi laughing because of one or more reason :3 The guest is pretty entertaining, he got to Arashi's pace quite fast (since I think sometimes a few guest feel left out when Arashi have a joke)
I like the second segment, I'm not traveling much since I need to think about money (I'm still a poor student) and if I have a chance I'll be glad to visit their recommendation. Asia in the short time since Europe will cost more money xD
PS : in the second segment I enjoyed a lot of Sho's funny expression.

It's true that the first part is entertaining, it's just that it miffed me when they pushed every single thing to being girly force... *rolled eyes here*
I'm not the type of person who spend so much just to jet myself to places to see sceneries... I'm more on the leisure whatever makes me happy type of traveller, so it's nice to see reports on such beautiful places and it helps a lot when it's the boys presenting XD
no subject
It's true that it's a bit forced about girly force. Well, at least I got cute Arashi taking selfie :p
Ah! We're the same type! I prefer food traveling than scenery, good scenery when I'm eating is a plus. It's better if I have enough time to take leisure strolling. I'm a bit sad that when I'm in Kyoto and Osaka I can't get much food traveling since my friend prefer good scenery to take photos (you recommended me a toufu store around Kiyomizudera before, I don't know if you remember though xD).
And, the boys presenting the places is just another reason to go there xD
no subject
Arashi selfie is just the cutest off course XD
Oops, sorry I don't remember *hide away* but more importantly: Oh no, you didn't get to eat that toufu? Well, there's always next time, ne?
no subject
lol, no worries! Yeah, you recommend it after I go back from Japan (it's when someone asked place recommendation in arashi-on) so I will go there next time :D
